A recent painting I did in a design course. I reworked an old underpainting adding contrast in hues and saturation with specific colors from the underpainting.

Very cool. I always like looking at traditional art, at things I don't know how to do, or at least how to pull off as smoothly as you do.

It looks like there are many different layers to the piece, a nice abstract image showing depth and I think without that depth you wouldn't have as great as a painting.

Yeah there was another painting underneath it so I had an underpainting to work with. I preserved the areas I liked and punched out the saturated colors alongside the dark textured area. I usually love working this way b/c you can achieve alot with putting opposites together.
